SCM-3213/ Brushless Motor InstructionsˇJ
Be sure to follow the notes as below:
1. Its KV value is 1600.
2. Never let it run continually for over than 5 minutes when its power reaches 90W.
Never let it run continually for over than 10 seconds when its power reaches 140W.
3. It is recommended to use this motor on 3D airplane with its total flying weight less than 350g (12.36 oz).
4. It is required to keep good ventilation for this motor during its running hours.
5. This motor could not work when its temperature goes higher than 70˘XC (158˘XF )
6. Its temperature will go higher than 40˘XC (104˘XF ) very quickly when its power reaches 90W.
7. Using propeller longer than 8040 (8"x4") on this motor is not recommended, this motor has been tested to work well with 2S 7.4V Li-Po battery pack, and it is strongly recommended to use only 2S 7.4V Li-Po battery pack with this motor.
8. It is not recommended to reach current drawing over than 12A when 2S 7.4V LiPo battery pack is applied with this motor.

The magnets are especially made for the "SCM" Series motors, and are rounded on both bell and stator sides. The result it that contact area with the bell is complete, and this has two benefits:  First, heat transfer is maximized, so the magnets are much less subject to damage from overheating.  Second, the full contact with the bell on one side, and matching curvature to the stator on the other, means that the magnetic flux lines are complete and optimally shaped;  this means higher efficiency, lower incidence of motor stalling, and smoother starts.  The magnets themselves are produced in one of the foremost factories in
the
world, and are the latest type, featuring both an extremely high temperature rating and high magnetic strength.  They are retained by fingers in the bell-end, and attached with a special high-temp glue made for the Japanese space program.  We think it's just about impossible to throw a magnet, or temperature de-mag these motors, and we've tried very hard...  Finally, the high-speed, shielded stainless bearings in the "SCM"
Series are made by Tigume Germany;  expensive for Scanner RC to install, but well worth it for smoothness and longevity. As you'll see in the specifications and prop data, the SCM-Series have very high power-to-weight ratios.  The SCM-3223 at only 33g, for instance, is a tremendous performer on 3S li-po and 10x3.8 APC SF prop in E3D models weighing up to 350 grams.

As you can see, the shaft arrangement makes it easy to front or back mount the motors, and use either a M5 x 3mm collect adapter or a prop-saver adapter on either end.  The shafts, retained by setscrew, are easily replaceable in the event of a crash, and are available for order.
